We Raise Money To Support Our Mission of Serving Qualifying Residents of Erie County, Ohio by Providing Supplemental and Emergency Food, Clothing, Linens and Housewares.

Our neighbors in need are families with children, single adults struggling to find work, and seniors living on fixed incomes. These are our neighbors living down the hall, up the street, and around the corner. Hunger is living in plain sight all around us. Monetary Donations

By Check:

Cash:

  • Drop off cash donations to Care and Share located at 241 Jackson Street, Sandusky, OH 44870 between the hours of: 11am to 1pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday or by appointment.

Where to Donate: We’re located at 241 Jackson Street, Sandusky, OH 44870. Come to the brown overhead door and ring the doorbell on the left hand side. We will be right out to receive your donation.

Wish List/Donation Items Accepted:

  • We accept NEW & GENTLY USED items.
  • If you are not sure about the quality of items to donate, please donate and we will sort through it.
  • If you have a large amount of items to donate (like a pick-up truck full), please call us at (419) 624-1411 to schedule a donation time. This will ensure we have enough volunteers and staff to help unload all of the items.
  • If you are not sure what we are currently accepting for donations, please call us at (419) 624-1411. Due to limited space, we limit donations for items we have excess of at the time so we can ensure we provide a well rounded assortment of options for our neighbors in need.

  • Flour, oil, sugar, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder

** Personal Hygiene Items **

  • Shampoo, deodorant, shaving cream, soap
  • Feminine hygiene
  • Tooth paste, tooth brushes
  • Combs / brushes
  • Nail cutters

** Linens **

  • Sheets, blankets, comforters, pillows
  • ** Bath towels / wash cloths / hand towels **

** Housewares **

  • Small Kitchen Appliances : toasters, microwaves, toaster ovens, hot plates, crock pots

Time is one of our most precious commodities just as our Volunteers are. Our volunteers are critical to our work year-round. We currently need volunteers to work directly with clients and behind the scenes. How often you would like to volunteer is up to you! Choose what works for your schedule – weekly, monthly or more/less frequently.
